Ocean City!

Good Morning Lovlies!

I grabbed a few minutes last night to get some pics together for ya!

First of all I'll start with the mani I did for the weekend.  I LOVE pinstriping!  I kinda wish I didn't have so many tattoos on my back, cause I'd LOVE to fit a sweet Pinstriping tattoo running up my spine!  But, I'm getting off on a tangent, anyway...

I started with 2 coats of Sephora by OPI "What's a Tire Jack" in Matte, on all nails but the middle.  Which I quickly realized was pointless since I needed to top coat the whole thing anyway!  On the middle finger I used 1 coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Whirlwind White".

I then used the Checkered Tip pattern from M56 and Konad Special Polish in Black, stamping (rather unsuccessfully) multiple times to cover the whole nail.  I sealed that with a coat of Seche.  And Moved on.

Then I broke out the Stripe Rite nail art colors in Red and White.  I used Pinstriping images from good old Google images as reference for the pinstriping on the Index and Ring Fingers.  Then, over the Checkered background on the Middle fingers I drew flames.  I tried to use a stamp Rob made me for the 8's on my Thumbs but it kept sliding on me, so I wound up doing it freehand, using China Glaze "Passion", and doing the V with a nail art brush.  For the Pinkies, I did the famous Moon Eyes.
Then I covered everything with a coat of Essie "Matte About You"

Here's what the finish mani looked like.  Keep in mind that I finished this at 12:30, so it's not perfect.  But it looked good from a normal distance!

Soooo, yeah, apparently we were WAY more tired than I realized.  Usually we take a few hundred pics over the course of the 4 day event.  Nope, not this time.  It's under a dozen!  Sad but true.  This event is AWESOME!  The whole city is one big car show!  7-11 parking lots, Food Lion parking lots, everywhere you look, it's a car show!  But mostly it's just about cruisin'
First, here are two cars that have paint jobs, that I want matching polish for!

Just look at the front of that fender!  Answer me this...How can there be car paint that goes from gold, to pink, to purple, to blue to teal, and we are stuck with 2 MAYBE 2 colors in a duochrome!?!?!
hmmm...wonder if I can pain my nails with car paint.....

This picture doesn't do this car justice!  It looks too neon and has a bluish tint in the pic!
In person this car is GORGEOUS!
When we saw it Rob and I looked at each other and he said "You need a nail polish that color!"
LOL, he's been saying that alot lately!

Next, since we are totally lame, I'm gonna pull some pics from May's Ocean City trip to show you.  These are cars I LOVE, and most were there last week, I just didn't take pics!

And last but NEVER least...a Mercury!  :::drool:::
Me and my mother in law used to say we were gonna own a Merc some day!
Maybe I will and get "Momma B" on the tag!

Well I could show you what I got to add to my stash while I was there, but of course, I forgot to write the names down.  So I will add it to tomorrows post!

Thats all for today.
Thanks for visiting!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!

That's an amazing manicure. Love the checkerboard and flames. Terrific with the matte finish. Oh yeah, how the hell did that car paint come about? Look at all the beautiful colors coming up out of the base color! Also love the green paint on the next car. Thanks for all the pictures. I always complained to my brother that I didn't want to go to the car shows. I really did enjoy them!

I'm TOTALLY on the same page about the duochromes...I've seen a few vehicles painted with that chameleon paint, and I go "Damn! Where can I get me some of that?!?"

Maybe one day...unless we make our own!
