Where I'll be the next 4 days

Good Morning Lovelies!

***EDIT:  Michelle, Sorry!  I looked everywhere for those flakies last night at home and couldnt find them sorry!****

Sorry, no nail stuff to show you today.  Instead I thought I'd share alittle about where I'll be the next 4 days.

Rob and I will be hitting the road tomorrow morning at 6:15a.m. and heading up to Columbus Ohio.

What's in Columbus you may ask?

Arnold.

Yes, THAT Arnold.

We will be attending the 2010 Arnold Sport Festival and Expo, just like we have for the past 5 years.

Click HERE if you wanna check out the website.

We go mainly to watch Strongman and Powerlifting, but really, there is something for everyone, from Archery, to Table Tennis, Arm Wrestling, Martial Arts, Ball Room Dancing, Figure and Fitness, and of course Bodyduilding!

Our favorite part was always watching the WPO powerlifting.  Sadly the "chairmen" of the WPO and Arnold's right hand man had a bit of a disagreement, and they are no longer the powerlifting organization that competes at the Arnold.  No one knows for sure but the word on the street has it that Jim (Arnold's right hand man) wanted the WPO competitors to be drug tested(for steroids).  WPO's guy said, sure, but if you test us, I think it's only fair you test the BodyBuilders.  And Jim said No!  So yeah.  For the record I dont give a rats butt if someone takes steroids.  Steroids only make the body recover quicker therefore allowing someone to lift WAY more frequently and therefore put on WAY more muscle.  It's not some miracle you can take and eat crappy food and sit on the couch and look like a beast, you still gotta work and work hard!
I hate that the media has made it out to be something it's not.

:::stepping off soap box:::::

Ahem, ok, where were we....

I miss the WPO!  Watching guys benchpress over a thousand pounds and squat 1220pounds!

Oh well, we still have a blast!

You know what I think is the coolest little tidbit of all?

The Arnold has more athletes in attendance than any sports gathering in the world!
For example...
The number of athletes at the 2010 Winter Olympics?  Around 2,700
The number of athletes at the Arnold?  Over 17,000!

Astounding isn't it?

I'll be doing a mani once we get there tomorrow night and posting it either then or Friday sometime!
And I'll take LOTS of pics and share next week!  Maybe this year I'll have my camera with me when Arnold makes his walk through, so I can actually get a pic of him!

And just so I'm not posting with no pics, how about I leave you with a GUN SHOW!

Rob's big sexy arm!

My wimpier one!

Hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week and weekend!

Awwwww so cute! So adorable, and yet you could kick so much ass! Even better. Oh, and its the largest athletics event. Largest sports event is I believe the Indianapolis 5oo (Its amazing. You love cars, so if you've never been, put it on your bucket list!!). IRL never puts out attendence information, but its around 400 thousand, plus the hundreds of thousands outside the track in the camplots. The Arnold info was really cool. I'm gonna have to check it out one year. Columbus is only a couple hours from my parents house

Scandalous,
I'm talking athletes that are attending not total attendance

attendance for the event is usually around 300,000 or better.

but yes I'd LOVE to go to the Indy 500 some day.

Scandalous,
they are kinda deceptive in the wording they use, but do to the sheer number of sports that are involved over the 4 day period, it's probably close. I'll try to find out for sure and go "on the record" monday for my recap!

I most certainly will holla at ya! I wouldnt dream of missing out on a chance to hang with ya!

I just love Arnold! When I could catch it I would watch the bodybuilding. Love to watch and the ladies and men. This is going to be an amazing show. Can't wait to see all of the pictures. I wouldn't call you wimpy at all. That's why your the powerlifing chick! You look fantastic to me. Hubbys arm is amazing! Ballroom dancing and powerlifting is a strange combination.
