I Hope You're Sitting Down...

Cause I got big big news that is gonna shock the pants off ya!

Ya ready?

Ya sure you're ready?

I took off my Acrylics!
I KNOW!!!  Shocking!
I can't believe it myself!
To give my nails a fighting chance I put silk wraps on, then added a UV activated gel topcoat/sealer.

Ready to see my little nubbins?
Yeah, they are sad, but this is pretty long for me!  My nails will not last at this length without reinforcement.
And yeah, not the best wrap job ever, but considering this is the second time i have used wraps, it'll pass. lol

I will actually be putting false nails back on this weekend, since I have a Bday mani idea I really wanna do, but am definitely not good enough to do it on my own nails!  after that they will come back off and I'll go back to wraps!

Now...you didn't think I was gonna leave you without some nail art did ya?

This is 2 coats of a Franken hot pink, made by mixing a few drops of Sinful Colors "Dream On" into China Glaze "Rich & Famous".
Then stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Brisk Blue", using plate M78.

That's it for today my Lovelies!

I hope you have a great day!

Awesome. I think After I do the stiletto nails and the aquarium ones for Ange that Im done with acrylics. I want to try and grow out my natural nails and see how it does with the Dermelect Launchpad plus the Qtica.

Oh, your poor nails. :( At least you're giving them a little breather. Even though they're short, they're super cute with the Konad.

Dermelect+Qtica = kick ass natural nails. I'll send some up the way.

I freaking LOVE that color combo and design. Why have I never used that design yet?

Love the manicure! Your nails look really good considering you use acrylics. I always thought your nails would be ruined when you used them. I understand why you wear them. All those chemicals and engine work you do. Your nubbins are a little longer than mine.

Even short your nails are cute!

You should see my nails, this is nothing compared to it! I'm appreciating short nails more lately.

Nubbins are soooo cute! And to be honest I actually love your konadicure better than konadicures with the acrylics. ;) I'm not a huge fan of long nails anyway. So, you have my vote... or whatever you'd like to call that. LOL

W00t, you had acrylics?! I didn't even know that! LOL I guess that means an acrylic job well done. ;) But your nubbins are very beautiful, hang on to them! <3 (Sure, you can grow them, but you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of in terms of natural nails!)

Your naturals nails don't look bad at all, especially with the silk wraps and polish on top. =)

You know what. I totally forgot you had acrylics. XD I didn't even recognize your blog/nails when I was browsing through my Google Reader. =D
I think it would be best to keep your nails natural, but since you're doing a lot of work around cars and such...it might not be good, since they're weakened by the acrylics.
Well, I'll see how it turns out for you anyway. =)

I just put Acrylics on! Partly because of your great designs and partly due to peeling nails. I am loving the crazy designs for nails and my short nails were able to hold all the pretty art. Oh well. Don't worry, i won't leave you!

Oh, the poor dears. But they look cute like that.
As to the nail art -- I really love that combination, the two hues play off each other very well.
