M70...AGAIN?!?!?!?!

Good Morning Lovelies!

I hope everyone is doing wonderfully today!

Today I will show you the Mani I sported until last night!
I had a mani in mind but due to the pattern I had chosen it didn't quite pan out.  I will try again in a week or so with a different pattern, so I wont reveal what I was going for today!

What I wound up with I liked alot, so I didn't mind not achieving what I had originally planned!

I started out with my go to black..Wet and Wild "Black Creme".  How I lived without this stuff for so long I will never know!  1 coat and opaque!  I just look back at all the time wasted with China Glaze "Liquid Leather", and shake my head!
I then mattified it with a coat of Essie "Matte About You".
Then I broke out the China Glaze "Millennium" and M70 and went to town!

Sorry this pic was pre-cleanup!
Also, I toyed with the idea of adding Matte About You on top, and tried it on my pinky.  As you can see, it smudged!  But what you can't see is that it took away all the shiny chrome effect.  It left it light grey, BLAH!
So definitely DON'T cover this with another coat of Matte!

Well, that is all I have for you today my dears!

I hope you all have a Fantastic day!

Beautiful Konad, as always!

I'm a total failure with Konads, I tried a couple of times and didn't get the image to transfer to the nail, it just messed up my manis so I gave it up. I'll try it out again next vacation, your fantastic konading makes me eager to take a second shot at it.

That is absolute hotness. I was just thinking of doing that with Russian Navy and Zoya Trixie this morning.

That is awesome!

Have you mattified the black only? looks awesome anyway hehe. =)

Oh, I love this!!! Glad to know that CG's liquid leather is a waste of time. I intended to purchase that....

In your opinion, is the Essie Matte better than the China Glaze Matte? Any comparison?
I want soooo badly to purchase a matte!

You are making it VERY hard for me to not order it right now! :)

Thriszha,
AW! I'm sorry :( But thank you!

Polish pig,
I'm gonna shoot you an email, and see if I can help you out a bit!

L,
OOOOO, yes! Do it, and be sure to post pics!!! I have tried to comment on your blog but cant, and I cant find the "Follow" button either! You will need to go into your options for comments and change it to pop-up window for them to work. It's a glitch in blogger.

Nihrida,
Thanks girl! Well you better order as soon as your no-buy ends! I'd LOVE to see what awesomeness you come up with!

Redz2486,
Yes Ma'am, Matte the black, BEFORE the stamp! That way the chrome stays shiney! and Thanks!

Leeyah,
Liquid Leather is a nice jelly-ish black, but it requires 2 or 3 coats to be nice and opaque, and dry time is so-so. Wet and wild is opaque in 1 and dries SUPER fast!
As to Matte about you vs CG Matte, I can't help ya there. Sadly, as much of a CG fan as I am, I didn't buy their Matte cause I already had Essie's! SORRY!
But Thanks!!!

GildedAngel,
DO IT!!!! :) I know, I'm a bad influence! SORRY!
Thanks!

That's a gorgeous mani! Thanks for letting us know about liquid leather...it was on my wish list along with Millenium. I guess I'll have to find another black polish (can't get wet n wild here)

Thank you

wow, I really like how that looks! But one question - how in the world do you deal with the Konad design not drying without using a topcoat? It seems like it would smudge like crazy just from normal wear.

Thanks for the heads up!

Konadomania,
Thanks hun!

Pinkginger,
LOL Thanks!

Booksnchocolate,
Don't get me wrong, Liquid Leather is nice, it's all I ever used before a month ago. I'm just saying if Wet and Wild is an option I'd go with that.

Lumin0us,
They are definitely worth it!
and thanks!

Jodes,
thanks my dear!

MM,
The konad designs are dry almost immediately for me. The only reason I ever use topcoat is just to get a shinier finish. This mani endured quite well thru Wednesday night, with only a bit of wear near the tips, and that was mostly from me biting at them out of stress! If it hadn't been for that, I doubt I would have had any wear!

L,
no prob!

Kristen,
Thanks girl!

Trincess,
Thanks hun!

Hey, I love your blog! This konadicure is my favourite you've done :) I read on Scrangie's blog that she had trouble getting the image to stick to the matte shade she used, and that it peeled off quickly afterwards - although I believe she used a matte polish rather than a polish with a matte topcoat, and a CG chrome rather than Konad SP: what do you think?

Thank you so much for the ongoing inspiration you provide :)

I just love this manicure. Judging by all of the comments, it's a hit! I'm glad you explained the difference between Liquid Leather and the WetnWild. I have a couple of mini WnW. When I run out of them I'll buy a regular sized one. I have Liquid Leather and haven't even used it. Love ya.

Jenny$1983,
AWWW Thank you so much!
this is the order i used....
Wet and wild black creme
then matte top coat,
then stamped with CG Millenium
I had to move WAY quick. and sometimes the image would come off the stamp but not "stick" to the nail, but if i just pressed it down with my finger it was just fine!
and it didnt peel off at all!

Lucy,
Thanks girl!
yeah, i'm a sucker for a 1 coater!!!

Lov back at ya!
