After seeing so many gorgeous glitter gradient mani's I decided I must try one for myself!
So I started with 2 coats of Evil Shades "Gothic Goddess". This color is awesome. In indoor lighting it looks like a nice brown with a gold shimmer. But take it out into natural light and it becomes a brown toned purple with golden shimmer! You'll see what I mean in the pics below.
After that I I broke out the glitters! I finally got myself that 16 glitter sample pack, like the one in my giveaway.
So I used that!
In a water bottle cap I dumped a dime sized spot of Clear polish, and added an 1/8 teaspoon or so of the brown glitter. I applied that to the whole nail.
I cleaned the cap, added another dime sized drop of Clear and this time dumped in 1/8 teaspoon of the orange glitter. This I painted on from the cuticle edge, about 3/4 of the way up the nail.
Cleaned the cap again, and add more clear and this time I used the gold glitter. This I painted from the cuticle, about half way down the nail.
Lastly I tried using Sinful Colors "Call You Later" for the green, because I really liked the varied sizes and shapes of glitter in the polish. Sadly it wasn't dense enough, so I dumped some of that into the water bottle cap and added the green glitter from the sample pack. I painted this on the lower 1/4 of the nail.
I REALLY loved this! Mom, Cassie (my sister) and Rob loved it as well! And I got a TON of compliments on it, which I don't get too often.
See, the tips look brown right? wait til the next pic!
See! Purpley-brown! It's actually WAY more evident in reality.
Yup, I'm sold on glitter gradients!
I will most certainly be doing more of these in the coming weeks and months!
Oh, little side note. Most people seem to add glitter from the tip, I did this opposite because I absolutely HATE when my tips look chunky 'cause of too much polish at the tips. So it that bugs you too, think of doing it this way!
Well that's it for today!
I hope you guys have a wonderful day!

FANTASTIC! I love it!
Beautiful! Kind of reminds me of the color scheme I have on my nails right now, that I'll be posting later, very fall-ish with the greens & browns & golden colors, but yours has much more bling! I'm going to have to get that pack-o-glitter & try something like this =)
This looks crazy..in a good way! You manage to do this perfectly and the glitter is just a bonus to this mani:)
Super fly!!!
I bet this would look awesome as matte, have you tried it that way??
Awesome work girlfriend :)
OMG! I'm so stupid...I almost asked you why ''fail glitter''. I had to read it 3 times to see it says ''fall''. Dumb me! =) Well, I have to say this manicure is absolutely gorgeous! Well done, Christy!
That is beautiful, never take that off! I love it!
BEAUTIFUL!!!

Soooooo pretty!
Wow- This is soooo pretty! I love that dark glitter
Gorgeous! I love how you explain how you do this so we can try it. I am still a rookie. But I did do a design and posted it on my blog with a link to my inspiration so others can see how I came up with it. :) love your blog!
I love it, it's gorgeous and sparkly and all things good!
P.S. I discontinued my polish so you have an official HTF right there! LOL
It's gorgeous! Your nails look like jewels...
You might have a hard time taking it all off though.... ;-P
Wow! Gorgeous!
GORGEOUS! This is one of the neatest glitter gradients I've seen. I simply *must* get myself some loose glitter and cheap clear polish.
I don't envy you having to take that off, though...
Wow that looks amazing! So sparkly and pretty :) Thanks for sharing!
Oh WOW! I love it! It looks amazing. I so want to try it. I needs to get me some glitter!!
