Today's Random Things

I just wanted to share a few pics I took this weekend, that I really liked.

The first one is an awesome moth that was hanging out on my husbands car.  I could not get over how cool he was, so I had to snap some pics of him.  Check it out:

This little family apparently lives near us because I spotted them walking across our yard earlier that morning.

They actually let us get about 10 feet away from them. 

Furry moths and baby deer, I LOVE living in the mountains!

Retro mani

Good Morning Lovlies!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today I will be sharing with you a manicure I did for a photoshoot of sorts, I had Saturday.  It was all Pin-up pictures so I needed a sweet mani to go along with my look.  So I took a page out of Dita Von Teese's book and went with a classic moon mani.

I started with 1 coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Whirlwind White, then topped that with 1 coat of Platinum by Pure Ice, a pretty frosty white.  Once that was nice and dry, I used hole reinforcements, those little things you put around notebook paper holes, to get the arch right.  Just lay it on your nail so the top of the hole sits against your cuticle at the base of your nail.  Then I painted on 2 coats of China Glaze Thunderbird.  Pulled the stickers off, added a coat of Seche, and Viola!

It's not perfect but from a normal distance it looked fine!

Need Your Input Please

Hello again Lovlies!
I have a question that I would really love to hear your answer to.
Would you prefer me keep this blog strictly nail related, or would you be interested in the occasional random post of make-up looks, pics from cruise-in we go to, or even some hilarious pics we've taken of our animals?

I just love you all and don't wanna bore you, whether it be bored from stuff your not interested in, or bored with the lack of variety.

Frankens, Cell, and my odd boy Louie

Good Morning Again Lovlies!

Back to our regularly scheduled programing...err...posting.

I have a bunch of random stuff to show you today!

First, on Wednesday I was at Mom's for dinner (it's a tradition, I LOVE it!) and decided to mix up a few frankens after I did my current nails, which I posted yesterday.  I'm on a blue and green kick, and those holo glitters were yelling at me to use them, so here's the two I mixed:

Pink Fantasy Makers holo Glitter + Sephora by OPI opening Night =  pretty!

Silver Fantasy Makers holo Glitter + Sinful Colors San Fransisco =  sparkly!!

I really dislike that my camera doesn't pick up the sparkly goodness very well.

It's a good camera too, that's the most annoying part!

So, my awesome readers, I am gonna take a page outa Brooke's book and ask for help naming these sparkly babies!  Leave your suggestions in my comments!

Last night after cooking Liver and Onions for my Father-in-Law (apparently I make good liver and onions, even though I wont eat it) while waiting for my man to work on the suspension of the '64 Fairlane in prep for a fun trip next weekend(I'll share soon), I got bored and attacked my new phone.  Wow, that was a run-on sentence if I ever read one!

I used my new CG Passion, a Gold Chrome from the Romantique collection, and M57.

It looks more gold in person than in this pic!

Finally I thought I'd share my totally odd boy Louie with ya!  I walked in his room to feed him Wednesday night and this is how I found him:

Yeah, I have no idea!  But MAN did I laugh!

Rob went in to feed him last night for me and found him the same way!

The log is there so he can climb on it and get a bit closer to the heat lamp.

What can I say, I have odd critters!

And in case you caught that I said ROOM, yes Louie has his own room.  He has a cage in that room, but the cage is only slightly smaller than the room itself.  Once we have a child we will need that room, so I have no clue where his cage will go.  Especially since Macy, our Jack Russell wants to eat him!

Good Morning Lovlies!

I was tagged twice in the past two days for the 7 things tag.
So, since this is super fun to me, I did both!

First I was tagged by the super cool EvilAngel of Black Nail Polish and Lip Gloss
She chose Red, one of my favorites!  So here we go!

1.  My FAV red dress, called "I Love Danger".  Custom made by the super sweet Rebecca of www.poisoncandyfashion.com, then redone by my lovely Mom after I lost weigh and it didn't fit! 

2.  My second favorite red dress.  

(I have a photoshoot this weekend and if you like can post pics next week.  These dresses look very different on, than simply hanging!)

3.  Red leopard bandanna.  Red AND Leopard, whats nto to love!

4.  Fav red Polish.  None other than Ruby Pumps by China Glaze.

5.  The Leopard print flower my husband bought me to wear with my I Love Danger dress!

6.  Cherry earring and necklace set I made.

7.  My Cell phone, which you will see adorned in my next post!

3.  Candies Perfume.  This is my favorite perfume.  Not too sweet, not too floraly, just right!

4.  Tangerine Body Swirl Lotion by Ulta.  So yummy!  I had to buy it too!

5.  China Glaze Fortune Teller!

6.  China Glaze Free Love.

7.  Bath and Body Works Mango Mandarin body spray.

Can you tell I LOVE citris smells?

Today I have a GORGEOUS polish for you!
China Glaze "Atlantis"

This color is so very pretty!
My bottle was a touch on the thick side, but no where close to being called difficult.  I have a bad habit if applying jellies with a heavy hand, so here it is with 2 thickish coats, and a third very thin coat. Then topped with 2 coats of Seche Vite.
Full Sun:

 I HATE that holo glitter doesn't shot up in my pics!  so annoying!

Soooooo sparkly!

Aside form the name, this color really brings images of goreous tropical water to mind.  The sparkes remind me of the way the sun glints off the surface fo the water.

So for my Konad design I went with an image that reminds me of waves.  Plate M51.

I tried to do the stamp in CG Adore, a pretty bluish chrome, but it really didnt even show up well enough to be considered a subtle stamp.

So I decided to stamp it with CG Millennium.

Here it is under Mom's Halogen sewing light, with a quilt block of her's providing the super pretty background:

Color wise, neither of these pictures is 100% accurate.  The color is really somewhere between the bluish sun pics at the top and the greenish halogen pic above.

It just has so much depth!

Well, that's all I have for you today.  I plan on doing a massive nail session this weekend so I can have a bunch of vault pics just waiting to show you when life gets a little hectic like it is this week, and will be next week!
