Viva La Nails Review Week Day 5: Girly Purple-Palooza

Happy Friday Lovelies!!!

Today I have the last of the Viva La Nails looks I did.

Let's jump right in!

First off I should warn you...Prepare for nubbins!
I had taken off my acrylics and didn't have time to put them back on before I had to get this done, so I just did it on my little nubbins!

I started with a base of 2 coats of Color Club "Pucci-licious" a super pretty neon purple.
Then I added a coat of Sally Hansen "Hidden Treasure" for a gorgeous gold-orange-pink shimmer effect!

Then I broke out the nail art stuff!

I LOVED those amazing butterfly decals I got and just had to use them!  So I picked out 3 of them, each with different colored stones, and placed them on my thumb, index and ring fingers.

Then I grabbed the purple and pink flower water decals and placed them on my middle and pinkie nails.

THEN....I broke out those pretty shell fragments.  I swiped on a thickish layer of topcoat on the areas I wanted the shells and then just sprinkled the shell fragments over those areas.

I finished up with a nice thick layer of top coat (which was apparently too thick...cause I got bubbles, blech!)
Ready for the uber girliness????

With all the stuff on it it was a bit much for my taste, but still really pretty!
I wanted to go big and use a variety of what I received all together, so I guess I succeeded!

I actually LOVED the base by it self, so I'll be sporting that again in the near future!

Well, that's it for today!

I hope to drop in tomorrow with a nice little bonus post (since I usually cant post on the weekends) of a review on something totally awesome!

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Viva La Nails Review Week Day 4: Flying Hearts

I'm back with yet another look using Viva La Nails products!

Todays mani started off with a base of Color Club "Pure Energy" from their Electro Candy Collection!

I then grabbed my Bundle Monster plates and decided to use the cool tribal looking wing image on BM07.
I stamped this at the base of the nail with Konad's Special Polish in Black.

Then I grabbed those cute heart rhinestones from Viva La Nails and glued them on place using a dot of topcoat.
I started out with just one on my ring finger, but liked it so much I added the hearts to the other nails the next day!
As you can see on the outer two fingers, putting top coat over the rhinestone gave it a frosted glass look.
If you want yours more shiny, simply glue it in place with a dot of polish or nail glue, and don't seal it on with a coat of topcoat.

Tomorrow I'll be showing you my final Viva La Nails look, and it is a nail art explosion!!! (well for me anyway!...I'm not a nail art pro like Glammed-Up!)

Hope today is great for ya!

Viva La Nails Review Week Day 3: Hot India

It's time for yet another Viva La Nails look!

Today I started with a base of 2 coats of Color Club "Warhol".

Then I broke out the Konad and used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Blazing Blue", a dark shimmery blue, to stamp the east Indian looking (to me at least) image from plate M64.  I LOVED that this resulted in a purplish look on the image!

Then I took the tiny dark blue sequins and applied them anywhere there was a dot on the Konad image, by just dotting on a touch of top coat and then placing the sequin right over that.  I then topped it all with a coat of Color Club Vivid Top Coat.  Sadly the topcoat and the sequins didn't play nice and it resulted in the color of the sequins being smudged.  Since I am out of Seche right now I can't try that and see how it works, so I'll just say to apply your top coat carefully, avoiding too many strokes, just as you would with a Konad image.
See how the sequins look lighter?  They should all be a gorgeous dark blue!
Stupid topcoat!

Regardless of the topcoat issue I really liked this bright colorful design!

That's it for today my Lovelies!

Hope today is awesome!

Viva La Nails Review Week Day 2: Radioactive Koi

Hello again Lovelies!

Today I have another Viva La Nails look for you today!  To those who asked yesterday where you can find these goodies (sorry)  click HERE to go straight to the awesomeness!

I'm gonna confess something....I think there is something wrong with me!  Lately I have been liking plain, no adornment or konad added, color!  I MUST BE ILL!!!  Me...the "more is better!" girl is on a "no thanks, I just want it plain" color kick!  How odd!  The polish I am gonna show you today is what started it.

It's Color Club "Wham! Pow!"  and it's a neon orange.  I don't know what it is about this polish, but it pained me to take it off after 4 days!  It's just so pretty!  This polish gets an almost jelly squishyness once you put top coat on it!  LOVE!

Looking at it it reminded me of Koi fish...or better yet, radioactive Koi fish!  So I instantly knew it just had to get scales!  I intended to place these scale like sequins on the polish one by one over lapping slightly, just like scales, but couldn't find the right tool for the job, so I slapped on a nice layer of top coat, and immediately dumped the sequins on top.  I then just tapped my finger to lose and loose ones, pressed the nail lightly to get the remaining sequins stuck down good,  and then added another layer of top coat to seal them in!
Fish Scales!!!
It's a shame though, the camera just didn't do those amazing sequins any justice!
I think the neon freaked it out!

I LOVED this look.  It was just enough sparkle but still simple enough to love the squishy neon!

That's today's look!  I'll be back tomorrow with a more "busy" look!

Have a great day!

Viva La Nails Review Week Day 1: Green Leopard

Well, Good Morning Lovelies!

All this week I'm going to show you some of the fun things you can do with the wide variety of stuff you can buy from Viva La Nails!  Some things will be very simple, but I've saved a  nail art explosion for Friday!  LOL

I received a massive package form Viva La Nails, Let's take a look at what I got:
Here's the sticker type decals and water decals.

(click this to make bigger so you can see)
And here is the assortment of rhinestone type jewels, shaped glitter, sequin glitter, and shell fragments.

As you all know I'm stuck on neons right now.  I've finally given in and just decided to roll with it.
My first creation was a neon green leopard....

I started with a base of China Glaze "Kiwi Cool-Ada"
Then I stamped the leopard print from Konad plate M57 on using Special Polish in Black.
Next, I grabbed the purple rhinestones and added them to the inside of the spots, using dabs of top coat to glue them on.  (if you want longer lasting, hardier nail art, I recommend using nail glue to glue the rhinestones in place)
Top it all with a coat of top coat.
But don't be like me and run out of Seche and have to use a top coat that smears your Konad image  :(

I only wish the Jewels would have been a touch tinier so they fit inside the spots better.

But I still liked it.  It was bright and colorful!
(also please excuse the terrible shape my cuticles are in!)

That's it for today my dears!
I'll be back tomorrow with another fun Viva La Nails look!

Eclipse Inspired Mani

Yes....I am a Twilight fan.

No...I'm not one of "those" fans!  I don't scream every time Jacob appears on screen shirtless.  and I don't melt into a puddle every time Edward ways something charming.  I really enjoy the books and movies, but my life doesn't revolve around them!

OK! Wanted to get that out of the way before I got all the "OMG you like Twilight????  What's WRONG with you!!!" comments!  LOL

Today's mani I did back when the movie was getting ready to come out.  I had on a base of China Glaze "Jitterbug" and it struck me that it reminded me of the ominous black and grey cloudy background of the poster.  Just that dark grey, before dawn kinda color.

Here is my inspiration:

I wanted to try to recreate that actual eclipse going on on the poster.

So after the base of Jitterbug, I slapped a hole reinforcement on 1 nail.
Using China Glaze "Millennium", I stamped just along the edge making sure I was thicker in the "middle" and thinner as I went out.
Then I broke out a burgundy-wine jelly franken I have and stamped that on along the edge as well, making sure to leave the appropriate spots bright (with just the Millennium showing).
Next, I removed the  hole reinforcement, and painted over the area that it has covered with Wet and Wild "Black Creme".
Then, just to add interest, I painted over jitterbug on my pinky with the wine jelly polish.

Prepare your self for a terrible, blurry, not enough lighting picture!
(yes, I think I have been infected by something that has rendered me incapable of taking a decent picture!)
I'm not gonna lie and say I loved it...I didn't, but it was ok, so I figured I's share!
This was a "Wow, that looked WAY better and easier to do, in my head" kinda things!

Well, that's it for today!

HOPEFULLY I'll find time to get something up again tomorrow!
If not, then I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Variegated Mani

Well Hello!
Long time no see!

Thing have just been CRAZY busy here so I apologize I've been slackin' on blogging!

Today I gotta fun mani to show you from a few weeks ago!

I started with 2 coats of Color Club "Warhol", a nice dark yet neon pink!

Then, I sponged Color Club "Pucci-licious", a neon purple, on the middle third of the nail.

Next I sponged Color Club "Chelsea Girl", a neon blue, on the third at the tip of the nail.
Once this was nice and dry, I stamped the tribal-vine looking image from Bundle Monster plate BM01 on the side of each nail, using Konad Special Polish in Black.
Sorry for the blur!
I had taken this off when I finally got around to looking at the pics on the computer and saw that I had 2 images to choose from....this blurry one, or a more blurry one that was also way color inaccurate!  LOL
I chose the better of the 2 craptastic shots!

I was actually really really pleased with how this came out.
Usually I get an idea on my head and I cant get it translated on the nail properly, but this I was content with!

Next week I plan to have 5 mani's to show you all featuring the awesome things you can get from Viva La Nails!

Well, that's it for today my Lovelies!

I hope you have a great day!!!

Black & White

Well Hello Lovelies!

Today I gotta quick look to share with ya!

I LOVED the idea for this in my head, but once it was on the nail, I was kinda "EHH" about it!

I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Whirlwind White"
Then I discovered just how badly I need a new nicely opaque white polish.
LOL
Then, I broke out the Bundle Monster plates and the Konad plates and stamp M73 and BM20 and used Konad's special polish to stamp with.  I noticed that the Wet & Wild black didn't seem to work well for me with these plates, but then again, using the w&w seems to be hit or miss for me.

Surprisingly floral for a Stiletto mani huh?
LOL

That's it for today my dears!
Hope your the rest of your Thursday goes quick (mines dragging)

AHHHHH So Exciting!!!!

Neon Animal Print

Good Morning Lovelies!

I am sure you read the title of the post and immediately thought "Again!?!?!"

yes....again!

I, for some reason, am stuck on neons, brights, and animal print right now.  It's kinda annoying cause I know it's gotta suck for ya'll!  So I'm tryin my best to drag myself outa this obsession.  But I make no promises!  LOL

Today's mani is a simple one, but a bright one!

1 coat of white polish.  I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri "Whirlwind White".  It's starting to get old and thick, even after a ton of thinner, so I gotta go get me some Wet and Wild White !

Then I added 1 coat of China Glaze "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini".

I broke out the Konad, and used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Brisk Blue" with the animal print on plate M78.
It's a shame, the blue doesn't show up right in the pics!

I'm sporting a sorta matching pedi right now too, using just the leopard print from m57, and these 2 polishes!

That's it for today guys!
Hope you have an awesome day!

Teal and Purple Evil Shades Cosmetics Look

Good Morning Lovelies!

Today I have a look to show you that I created using (mostly) all Evil Shades Cosmetics, My FAVORITE cosmetic company, products!  The only things I used that were not Evil Shades products were Foundation, Liner, Mascara and a touch of matte white shadow!
For those that don't know, Evil Shades Cosmetics is an indie cosmetic company owned  my the beautiful and talented (and super sweet) Evil Angel of Black Nail Polish and Lip Gloss.  She makes amazing products, with a awesome color range!  Customer service is fantastic and she ships super quick!  And no, I am not saying this because she is a fellow Wicked Vixen!  I was ordering from her back when my little blog was just starting and she didn't know me from Eve, and LONG before I was a Wicked Vixen!

I'll show pics first, then go over what I used!

Here's what I used:
Banshee - Lid
Nighshade - Crease
Chusi - Lower lid liner, and blended up into outer crease
Moonlit - On tear duct and just under brow, applied on top of a touch of matte white shadow

Since I don't have any of her blushes yet, I used one of the shadows I have as a blush...Panic!

Lips are my namesake lipstick Stiletto, topped with a bit of Bane just in the center, and blended out a bit, for a brighter punch of that amazing bluish-purple flash!

To say I love Evil Shades is a massive understatement!
If you've been holding off buying from them, I say drop everything and RUN over to her site and get to buying!!!  You won't be sorry!

That's it for today my dears!
I hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Crazy Leopard!

Good Morning Lovelies!

Today I have a super fun mani to share with you!  Oddly enough the beautiful L of Bright Light, Big Color and I were sporting this look at the same time!  How crazy is that?  Check our her awesome version HERE!

I started by applying my 3 colors in random patterns on each nail.  The polishes I used were:
Finger Paints "Guggen I'm Lime"
Piggy Polish "Blue-Mmmm"
Rimmel "Pulsating"

Then I just stamped the leopard design on M57 over it using black polish!

Odder yet was that we discovered we had both also decided to do this as a pedi!  Great minds think alike I guess!  LOL

That's it for today my dears!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy (Belated) Birthday America! Nails and Makeup!

Good Morning Lovelies!

I TOTALLY planned on getting this posted Sunday....then I TOTALLY planned on getting this up yesterday....yeah, didn't happen....so here it is WAY late!

Here's what I sported for the 4th....Nails first!

I used China Glaze "Ruby Pumps" and a blue glitter franken.
Stripes were done with Art Club sliver striper, and images were stamped using China Glaze "Millennium", and too many Konad and Bundle Monster plates to remember!  Stars on the index nail tips were from the Art Club "Pretty Shiny Things" kit.

And now the look I sported!
(excuse the first two washed out pics that I look like a zombie in!)
Ahhhh, there's my color again!  Those first two pics totally erased the little bit of tan I have, LOL
Colors used were:
NYX Jumbo shadow pencil in Milk, topped with matte white eyeshadow just under brow and on tear duct.
Evil Shades "Heartless Queen" on lid!  (this color ROCKS!!!)
And random blue from a Coastal Scents palette in crease, blended up and on lower lash line.

That's the quick and dirty post for today my dears!
Hope everyone had a fabulous 4th!
