Peacock Nails!

Good Morning Lovelies!

Today I thought I'd show you what I did WAAAAY back when we went to Philly!

If you just wanna see the final product, skip to the end, cause this is a Step-by-Step guide to how I did it!

First, my Inspiration:

Here are the Polishes I chose:

They are:
CG "Emerald Sparkle", SC "Show Me the Way", Ultra Pro "Brassi Bronze", Pure Ice "Wild Thing" Maybelline "Go Go Green", CG "Sexy in the City", OPI "Ink"
I chose all shimmers because of the shimmery quality of peacock feathers.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze "Emerald Sparkle" topped with 1 coat of Sinful Colors "Show me the Way".  Since I knew that there would be a METRIC TON of polish layers I decided to take an acetone dipped Q-Tip and just take the polish off the center of the nail:

Then I added an egg shape to the center of the nail with 2 or 3 coats of Ultra Pro "Brassi Bronze":

Now, Using a tiny brush, I outlined that egg shape with 1 coat of Pure Ice "Wild thing"  then topped that with 2 coats of Maybelline "Go Go Green":

Finally, Add a dot of China Glaze "Sexy in the City" to the fat end of the egg.
Then, inside that dot, do a small 3/4 pie shape using OPI "Ink".
Now I realized after the fact that the "Ink" should have been placed at the top of the "Sexy in the City" dot, so be sure to do it right, and NOT like me! LOL

And Voila!:

Peacock Nails!

I'd like to give this a go again in the future.  It was kinda messy to me, so I'd like to make it alittle cleaner.
This would probably look fantastic on a stiletto nail!

Well, that's all for today my Wonderful readers!

I hope you have a fantastic day!!!!

I think they turned out really pretty! I would have never even thought of that idea, good one.

I even like they way the nails look when you removed the polish from just the center, it looked really cool just like that!

Very nice! thriszha beat me to it, but yes, I've also been planning my own version of peacock nails since I picked up my last ChG haul. May I add you as more inspiration for my mani?

Very pretty nails. Maybe you could blur the polishes together somehow. Still a gorgeous manicure. Love all the colors.
